Holding Space for your
Mind, Body & Spirit
Spiritual Direction is the practice of two people, together, listening, noticing, and paying attention to what it is God’s spirit is doing within you. Wherever you come from or whatever experiences you carry, you are invited on a journey toward deeper divine love.
About Andrea
Following a formal education and a career in counseling and social work, I began training in Spiritual Direction with the Dominican Sisters of Grand Rapids. I have been practicing as a Spiritual Director since 2014. While I was raised in the Protestant tradition, I’m comfortable and eager to work with individuals from all kinds of Christian backgrounds or those who have little to no experience in organized religion. I currently devote time to Spiritual Direction for individuals, as well as guided retreats. Additionally, I supervise and offer professional development for other Spiritual Directors.
I am most grounded and nourished when I’m outside in nature, spending time with my family or with my dog, curled up with a good book, or delighting in a meaningful friendship.
I believe we can “find God in all things,” meaning the full human experience: our relationships, our work life, our disappointments and accomplishments, our grief and our great joy. God is always doing something.
All Are Welcome
Whether you are feeling detached from God, angry at God, seeking discernment from the Spirit, or simply hungering for a space to be fully open before God, you’ve come to the right place. God is working exactly where you are, in your everyday, ordinary life, and our time together will be to simply tune in to that in whatever way is most comfortable and natural for you. For some people, that is long pauses or silence, for others, that’s verbal processing or practices that connect body, mind, and spirit; for most, it varies session to session, season to season. Wherever you are on a given day that we meet together, you can trust that God is there too.
I stand by the undying belief that all are welcome, and all are invited into a deeper, loving relationship with God.
Work with Me
I am happy to meet with clients from wherever you are in the world via Zoom, or in-person in Spokane, Washington. When you reach out, particularly if you’re inquiring about a group retreat, please indicate where you are geographically as I am eager to make personal connections when possible.
I happily offer a free 30 minute consultation for all new clients or curious seekers, so that we can have a chance to get to know each other and determine if we’re a good fit before diving into full sessions. I also value offering my services on a sliding scale so that price is not what inhibits a person from pursuing Spiritual Direction. Please contact me to learn more.

Guided Retreats
The spiritual practice of retreat is a long time tradition of spiritual sojourners. I offer guided retreats into solitude and silence for the soul to rest and return to its sacred center.
This structure works well for individuals or small groups.
